Policies

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our office. We want you to feel comfortable and well informed about our office and procedures. This web page has been designed in order to answer the most common questions asked by our patients. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask us directly or email us on the 'contact us' page.


Office hours/Appointments 

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. When we schedule your appointment, we make every effort to be on time for our patients; however, we ask for your understanding if occasionally an emergency causes an unexpected delay. Appointments are made by calling 740-455-4944.


Emergencies

If you have an emergency during office hours, please call the office. After 5:00 p.m. or on weekends, please report to the Good Samaritan Emergency Room.


Billing and Payment Policy

We make every attempt to keep down the cost of your medical care. To help with that effort, we ask that you be prepared to pay your co-payment and/or your deductible at the time of service. We will in turn send your claim to the insurance company for you.


Insurance

We accept a wide variety of insurance plans. Please call the office prior to your appointment to make sure we participate in you insurance plan.

 

 

Confidentiality

The doctor/patient relationship is a privileged one. For this reason, communication between you and your doctor will not be disclosed to others without your written consent.

If Surgery is Advised

Many insurance companies require preauthorization or second opinions prior to surgery or hospitalization. It is important that you understand the requirements of your policy. We encourage you to take an active part in this process of your care by contacting your employer or insurance carrier prior to surgery.


Prescriptions

If you need a refill on a prescription, please call the office during morning office hours. Calling early in the day will help us meet your needs that day.


Referrals

We encourage the involvement of your family physician in your care. After you have recovered from your surgery, you will be returned to your family physician for your continuing medical care. Should you require additional services, we are always available to serve you.
